I was born in Palembang, Indonesia only to move 3 weeks later.  I’ve lived in 9 different cities, 6 different countries and 4 different continents; I am the definition of a 3rd culture kid. I’m currently a sophomore in the Athletic Training & Physical Therapy program at Boston University. Originally I was going to go the either England or Australia to attend Medical School but I loved sports and wanted to be more involved in sports and the medicine of sports.  I looked further into sports medicine finding athletic training as an option here in the states. Many people think I came to Boston because my brother’s a junior at BU but it’s just a pure coincidence and now I’m loving Boston.

I swam competitively at the national level in Singapore and Indonesia and playing some volleyball in high school. As a swimmer I have learned the importance of strength and conditioning and now I’m hoping to see the other side of it as an intern.  As an Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist I feel it will be a great advantage of have in my future career.
