I am from a typical suburban town in central mass called Westborough. I grew up playing all different types of sports, and eventually focused solely on tennis and volleyball in highschool. I originally went to the University of Vermont, thinking I wanted to become a Dietician, but then decided against that career path and transferred to Clark not knowing anything about what I wanted to focus my studies on. After not playing a tennis match for well over a year, I somehow managed to play number one singles and doubles at Clark, but soon into the season got a groin strain and was out for the remainder.

Feeling lost in a career path, transferring again seemed like a viable option. I began to think hard about what types of subject matter interested me the most, and what possible jobs I could see myself doing, and Exercise Science popped into my head. I graduated from UCONN with a B.S. in Exercise Science-Strength and Conditioning in December 2012. At UCONN I played for the UCONN Women’s Rugby Football Club, which was a great experience for me.  Last spring we got to travel to a tournament in Nashville, and got to spend our spring break playing in Ireland.  I hope to continue the sport out of college.

I have previously worked under Coach Oliver at the College of the Holy Cross, and Coach Butler and Coach Kimball at the University of Connecticut. I am going to go for my C.S.C.S soon and also looking to get into the field of personal training.  I am unsure of a definite career path, but hope this internship can give me a better idea of what I want to do. I am hoping to progress with my coaching, gain more confidence, and learn as much as I possibly can at my internship at Northeastern.  I am thankful for this opportunity, and plan to make the most of my time here.
